Executive Director, Transform Nations

Simon Mbevi is a passionate trainer, a motivational speaker, an author, a relationships counselor and life coach. He is married to Sophia and they have two daughters (Covenant and Beracah) and a son (Promise).

Education

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B) from the University of Nairobi a diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He has a Master’s degree, M.A (Leadership) from Pan Africa Christian University. He also holds a certificate on Corporate Governance from the Kenya Institute of Management.

Experience

Simon is a widely-travelled seminar, conference and summit speaker.

He has traveled to many nations speaking on transformation, parenting, marriage and relationships, positive masculinity, leadership and the family generally.

Simon has been a regular trainer for both men and women in the corporate space. He has worked with many corporates in East Africa, including Safaricom, KPMG, KCB, Absa, Kenya Airways, Unilever, World Vision, IPSOS and Royal Media among others.

He has trained parents and teachers in many schools, private and public, on the issues of gender and parenting; and worked with churches and institutions across Africa to change communities.

A regular media commentator, Simon has featured across most media houses on matters leadership, masculinity, politics, mentorship and relationships. For over two years he was a co-host in a weekly television show for men and women who love them, Mentality. His articles have featured in many dailies, magazines and media shows.

Organization

He is the founder and Executive Director of Transform Nations, an organization that seeks to be a catalyst for community transformation through encouraging and training in transformative leadership, healthy families and community change.

Transform Nations runs different programs in these three areas. Under Family, the foremost programs include Man Enough (the XY Journey), Intentional Dad, Boys to Men and Intentional Moms. TN has its presence through the programs in Eastern Africa, the USA and the Caribbean.

To date, over 20,000 men have graduated out of Man Enough program, and over 10,000 boys have gone through a 3-6 months mentorship program – Boys to Men in many schools, churches and communities.

He has authored several books including Man Enough, Dad is Destiny, The Marketplace, Mothers of Sons and Boys to Men: Turning Boys into Responsible Men.

Others

Simon loves to volunteer with communities to strengthen families, conserve the environment and mentor the youth. He has served at various capacities with Life in Abundance, Kenya Christian Lawyers Fellowship, and Mavuno Churches.

He is currently a member of the Makueni County Public Service Board in Makueni County.
